Joint webcast by DSC and Cideon: news about the PLM portfolio of SAP
On April 8, 2025, DSC and Cideon presented SAP’s latest developments and innovations in the field of Product Lifecycle Management | PLM in a joint webcast. The virtual event titled “Quo vadis, PLM in SAP?” sparked the interest of participants worldwide and offered valuable insights into the product strategy of SAP.
To begin with, Peter Vandrey, Head of Cideon SAP Solution Management, and Achim Rossel, Senior Vice President Business Development at DSC, gave an overview of the various deployment options for PLM solutions from SAP. They illustrated use cases for on-premise, cloud, and hybrid scenarios and demonstrated how companies can benefit from cloud solutions by SAP already today.
Another topic was the transition from SAP CAD desktop to SAP Engineering Control Center | SAP ECTR. The presenters informed about the planned end of maintenance for SAP CAD desktop and provided strong arguments for an early transition.
The event, which took place in German and English, has received very positive feedback. The participants asked many questions in both sessions, most of which were answered straight away.
